Abstract

With an ever-expanding array of Instructional Design tools and processes at our disposal, there are a wide variety of methods in which we can develop our instructional content. This project analyzes the ADDIE Approach as a tool that can be applied when a performance discrepancy is present. It also analyzes the Morrison-Ross-Kemp (MRK) Model as learner-centered model that allows some flexibility when designing instructional units.  From several instructional design models, we chose to compare both ADDIE approach and MRK model for its learner-centered and systematic approach that can facilitate the development of effective instructional designs.  Learner-centered approaches focuses on identifying the learner needs and the key role of the learner in the learning process thus in the instructional design process.
